I bought this helmet before taking a welding class and it worked great. Fast forward: I haven't used a helmet for about three years after taking classes, I took it off to use it and when I gave the head strap it was the very first hold, the whole back fell apart. The plastic is cracked like it's 20 years old. Realizing that this was not a guarantee I contacted customer service anyway as the helmet had probably only been used for a few hours during the class I was attending. Unfortunately they couldn't help me. I bought a more expensive and reputable brand expecting it to last for decades knowing I might use it once or twice a year. Keep that in mind if you're like me. If you use this helmet for work every day, that's probably acceptable because you can wear it down before it breaks.
