Review on G-STORY W56TB: Portable FreeSync Touchscreen with Speakers, 15.6" IPS Display, 1920X1080P, 60Hz by Dennis Bennett

Good work progress for me

I was very pleased to receive this monitor and started setting it up for gaming as soon as it arrived at my house. I first tried using it on my S9+ but it pissed off my phone so I had to stop using it. I don't think the monitor is to blame though as this phone has gone crazy with dock connectors before and the phone is old. I tried connecting it to my Surface Pro but didn't go there because the Surface was too old to have proper connections. As a last try to make sure the monitor is working, I used my first gen Switch and it seems to be working! I had to move the sliders for the device and the monitor shows the switching screen! And I have to say that I didn't experience any lag with controllers and screen reactions. However, one problem I've encountered is that there is no sound when I'm in the YouTube app. In games it works fine, just weird. But I will wait for my full review once I have my new phone as I only bought this monitor to use for artwork. Once that happens I will update the review. UPDATE: So I got my new phone (s21 Ultra) and the screen works as it should! While there is a downside to trying to stream from YouTube, no sound comes out of the speakers. Had to hook up my personal BT speakers as a workaround. I couldn't find out whether this is also the case with other streaming services. Touch response is quite good and setup was easy. While one of the main downsides to the product is that the flip/stand/screen protector isn't permanently attached to the screen, they can slip off easily and there were scary moments when the screen almost fell off the bed trying to adjust it. Overall a good touchscreen but with design flaws and minor compatibility issues.
