Review on 🔥 Portable Oil Filled Radiator Heater: 700W Electric Space Heater with Thermostat, Overheat Protection - Quiet Indoor Heater for Home and Office by Debbie Dixon

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Effective but cheaply made

UPDATE: It appears this product has been changed to a different product than when I wrote this review, probably so the seller could use the old rating to update the new one for sale. This review was about a black plastic infrared heater, not a white oil heater. The heater does what it's supposed to, although now I see how they can offer it at such a great price. It's an almost weightless plastic heater that almost feels like a toy, especially when you turn the cheap plastic knob. The knob is also awkward to turn as it's on the front right over a very hot grate. It's great that they can sell a cheap infrared heater for people on a budget, but if you can pick a better one I'd recommend it simply because it's more reliable and easier to use. In terms of performance, I find it can't heat my entire home office (just a normal sized bedroom) like my other 1500w ceramic heater, but it heats the space in front of it better than what an infrared heater should. work I think. A lot of people don't seem to understand the difference between the two - features like a swing or fan would be counterproductive for this heater because it heats what's in front of it (like you) and not the air around you. I actually prefer it to a ceramic heater because it's quiet and feels warm to the touch much better, probably because it doesn't dry out the air. With a ceramic heater, I would keep the room door closed and point the heater away from me. After a while it still gets uncomfortably warm and I turn off the heating until it gets cold again. With this heater I don't have to worry about the door staying closed, I just point it to where I'm sitting and it just warms me up to the perfect temperature that after a while I even forget it's there is switched on. This makes the heat feel much better than the sweaty nasty heat (alternating with cold) that the ceramic heater produces, and it's constant without having to adjust anything. Ceramic heater to heat the actual air to feel comfortable. So now I use both depending on the situation, but if I could only get one, ceramic would probably be the right choice because it warms the whole room, while this heater works best when the air isn't too cold. Otherwise, it can still be uncomfortable even if it's pointed directly at you.
