I have a house with a store about 70 feet from me. Both buildings are clad in aluminum panels. My computer in the store has built-in wireless circuits. He dropped the connection and couldn't authenticate himself securely. Register with RNH. The XP Home driver was on the CD and the installation went smoothly. Initially, I plugged the RNX directly into the computer's USB port. The signal strength on my home router now showed significantly improved 4 out of 5 bars. However, when choosing a router, the signal dips to a low level and it still doesn't connect. I then connected the RNX to an externally powered USB hub that was connected to the computer. This eliminated the hesitation and the computer now connects securely to the router at speed N. Eventually I put the RNX by the window and got another trace. This has been working fine for a few weeks now. Look mom, no wires!
