Very smooth skin, goes well with some corn or rice flour. I like that it can be put together short or long. When I'm making pizza I need a long stick, but for bread I like a short stick. The handle is very strong. The parts are screwed together with many thin threads, so that the connection is tight. Both sides of the shell are usable, which can come in handy at times. I use it successfully with a real wood stove and would buy it again.
