Straps are poorly designed

**Updated 10/1/2020.** The seller contacted me and said based on feedback, they are changing their strap design from the current buckle style to Velcro and it will be available in about a month. This would probably fix the issue I had with it. I would definitely wait until the new style comes out before purchasing it. The seller also described a work-around where you insert the shoulder straps back to the buckle again to prevent it from loosening (see attached image). Unfortunately I had…

Pros
  • 2021 NEWLY UPGRADED MODEL - All buckles have been replaced by magic tape to prevent slipping out and discomfort. The connection at the root of the shoulder strap and the zipper of the backpack have been enhanced. You can choose the most comfortable way to wear with our patented two-magic tape design. A. Fasten the straps across your chest. B. Fasten the straps across your shoulders. The deflated backpack is foldable, portable, washable, and ideal for travelling.
Cons
  • Zipper is difficult to operate when wearing gloves

I will update this review later because I am awaiting the seller to introduce a larger size version to try.FOR NOW: I am an adult man diagnosed with mild obstructive sleep apnea which occurs mainly when I shift from side to back sleeping. While this product advises it may not be suitable for that medical condition, my sleep doctors agreed it would be reasonable to try as "positional therapy" to prevent back sleeping.PRO: I tried it and I think the basic design concept is very good, the…

Pros
  • July 23, 2018
Cons
  • Overly large for people with smaller body frames

I was just diagnosed with sever sleep apnea. I knew I had it, but after my second more in depth sleep study It was much worse than my doctor and I suspected. Majority of my episodes happened while sleeping on my back. I thought I was mostly a side sleeper after years of forcing myself to sleep that way to not disturb my significant other, or when I stayed with friends due to my snoring. Well, it turns out after I fall asleep I turn over onto my back every time. This has been happening for over…

Pros
  • This does work but I ordered a large.and it was way too big.
Cons
  • Bulky and difficult to pack away

It's difficult to develop this product for everyone. For example I'd ask for shorter straps and smaller buckles but it's better if they make this larger for everyone and I just cut the straps to whatever short I want. On the second morning I saw one of the seam torn, probably my body wasn't so glad with the idea of side sleeping although I always slept on my side until I turned 35. The customer service is fantastic, they sent me a replacement right away. It helps a lot to control my snoring but

Pros
  • Big Enough to Ensure Side-Sleeping - This backpack is big enough and keeps you off your back at night. Imagine what will happen if the back supporter is small or flat. You will end up sleeping on your back with it pressing on your spine, which is not just painful but dangerous.
Cons
  • No additional pockets or compartments to store smaller items

Good for my apnea on my review.

Very good for my sleep cause my tongue falls back at night And wake up with no air with this I sleep good the only thing is the foam that is on the back I have to take it out because it was to hot for my back

Pros
  • Helps with Side-Sleeping - This backpack provides comfortable back support to help you sleep on your side so that the tongue, soft palate, and relax throat tissues will not fall backwards, blocking the respiratory tract.
Cons
  • Magic tape straps are prone to wear and tear

Design flaws good for me

I have a love hate relationship with this thing. The concept is great, but for me it has flaws which make it pretty worthless for me. I need to wear something when I sleep to keep me off of my back due to sleep apnea. The hump in the middle is not wide enough for me not to roll right over and rest on it. I end up mostly on my back, just not completely. The worst part for me is the straps that come under your arms dig in so bad that it cuts off my circulation. This is a great idea and is well…

  • WoodyKnows

Caused other problems

I bought this backpack after being diagnosed with mild positional sleep apnea. It did help me stay on my side and prevented me from rolling onto my back during the night, but after using it for several months, I began waking during the night with numbness in my arms. Several weeks later, I developed a pain in my hips that would also waken me during the night. I had never experienced these issues before. I tried several therapies to relieve the pain and numbness, including chiropractic, but…

Pros
  • I liked everything!
Cons
  • Heavy to carry around

Just doesn't work for me

I tried this and they have engineered it nicely, but at night in my sleep I end up rotating within the straps and end up on my back anyway. So the bag ends up on my side. And yes I've tried every alignment of the straps, tightened them up as tight as possible, used different levels of inflation, etc.My guess is that to be comfortable, the straps have some elasticity, but this is what allows my asleep body to stretch them enough so that I can rotate.

Pros
  • Improves overall sleeping experience
Cons
  • Can be mistaken for a camping backpack

It works. Prevents sleeping on your back.

It is much better for me than using a cpap machine. I used a belt with a big Styrofoam ball in the back for a few years. This is more comfortable than that, and i am sleeping better now.

Pros
  • Health & Household
Cons
  • Exterior material is prone to stains and dirt

I had a home sleep study and didn't have enough apneas to meet criteria for sleep apnea. I'm always tired, so I thought I'd give this a try. I like the design of the product, but it doesn't achieve the intended effect for me. As someone who takes a long time to get used to new things, I think it is fairly comfortable to wear. I wear it crossbody. The issue is that I still wake up frequently on my back, just at a little more of an angle. I'm also pretty comfortable when it happens. I do have a…

Pros
  • Magic tape straps allow for easy adjustment and customization
Cons
  • Lacks durability and longevity

Mislabeled package LARGE INSIDE small label

MISLABELED Three times. Large air bag. But the label on the outside says small.Unless you want to squish a large one in a small backpack it will fold and the folded corners will leak air.Three strikes you’re out

Pros
  • Snore Reducing Aids
Cons
  • Causes shoulder and back pain when worn for extended periods

Great relief for snoring! Wife approved

We have tried everything for my husbands horrible snoring. This is the first thing that has been working consistently. It keeps him on his side and drastically reduces his snoring. He says it’s the best solution we have found as far as results and comfort. High recommend. Please mark if you have found my review useful.

Pros
  • Provides added insulation for warmth during colder nights
Cons
  • Zipper pull can easily break off

Would not recommend [Original Model]. The shoulder and waist straps slip through the buckles unless tightly folded up under elastic retainer. This makes it feel like I’m sleeping in a deck of playing cards no matter which position I’m in. I tried adding a backpack sternum strap to keep the shoulder straps from spreading. No joy. I tried relocating the straps to a different location. No joy.Total disappointment.UPDATED TO REFLECT CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCEWithin a few days of posting my review,

Pros
  • Ideal for longer backpacking trips
Cons
  • Magic tape straps can easily catch on clothing or other items

It works. It keeps me on my side.

My sleep apnea is much worse when I sleep on my back. I have tried other methods to stay on my side, but so far this is the only thing that has worked for me. It’s very light weight because of the inflated bag. The straps are very adjustable.

Pros
  • Fits a wide range of body sizes
Cons
  • Limited storage space

A help but not a fix-all.

This is really a great idea but it doesn't keep my sleep-apnea suffering husband completely on his side. He has to work at it in his sleep- determined man that he is- but if he starts out completely on his side, shortly after he goes to sleep he is more propped on his side kind of half and half back/side. He has shoulders that hurt if he is completely on his side for too long so I am sure that factors in. He gave up on cPap so we are trying everything to help with the issue and being not flat…

Pros
  • Multiple pockets and compartments for all your essentials
Cons
  • Uncomfortable for people with larger torsos

Great product best in my review

The product does what it is advertised. I like that it stays in place. The air bag was easier to fill then I thought it would be and it has a one way valve to keep air in as you fill it and you push the valve in to deflate it. I left the shoulder straps the way they came and just wrapped the other strap around my waist. I am using it to help me sleep on my side and not back with my CPAP so my breathing is better.

Pros
  • Breathable material prevents sweat buildup
Cons
  • Straps are too thin to provide adequate support

Straps Configurtion is off

The product is ok. But the most important part of the whole thing is the straps. They are not situated right. I have tried to adjust this thing in different ways. Trying to position the straps so that I wouldn't feel the back of the woodyknow on my head. I think I am going to return. For this amount of money, this thing should fit better. I got a small. It's a little big. It's the straps. They should have done a better job with the strap adjustment. Bad quality control.

Pros
  • Perfect for camping, hiking, or weekend getaways
Cons
  • Cannot hold extra-large items

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Does what it says, but didn't work for me.

I can't really knock this product, as it does what it says it will do. And the quality is pretty high. And while it took a bit of getting used to, it wasn't uncomfortable.I thought the only time I snored was when I rolled over on my back, and this would solve all my problems. Well, it pretty much keeps me from sleeping on my back, but apparently that isn't the only time I snore. So this product does what it's supposed to do. Just keep in mind that you could be snoring for other reasons, and this

Pros
  • Stable and Comfortable at Night - This backpack features a three-point fixation design at both shoulders and waist, which disperses the pressure of the fixing straps to ensure a comfortable the stable support. Imagine what will happen if it is fixed around your chest with only one strap (especially for women) or placed in a back pouch of a pajama. It will shift and slide around over time, allowing you to roll onto your back.
Cons
  • Not suitable for hiking or outdoor activities

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It works! See my before and after sleep data.

So I have positional sleep apnea. The first attachment is before my Woody pack, the second attachment is wearing the pack.1). The shoulder straps are and material is very soft and light.2). The air bladder has a one way easy to use valve (inflated breathing easy in about a minute).3). The product quality looks and feels good (like a lot of thought went into to the design).I will follow up with a longer term update in the future. Thanks

Pros
  • Easy to clean and maintain
Cons
  • Not recommended for children or teenagers

This 'device' is a great design concept for people trying to stop snoring, get a 'breather' from apnea episodes to try to undo the cause of their apnea. But the pillow is GARBAGE and to make it worse, so fare a CUSTOMER CANNOT get a replacement?!?!?! What is wrong with you? The pillow must be more robust for this application, the seams need to be stronger and you need inventory if they need to be replaced. After all is said and done, my son is going to have to go to a craft store for a freaking

Pros
  • Provides added comfort for side sleepers
Cons
  • No warranties or guarantees on the product
