We have a outward tilting window and we bought this for the heat wave. Because of the frame and handles the seal that goes on the window is about an inch from the seal that goes on the outside of the window frame, which created a lot of extra fabric that we had to fold and pin so it'll be sealed. Also the sticky part that goes on the window comes off sometimes, even though we thoroughly cleaned the frame before sticking it on. Other than those issues it works, convenient and cheap
