Review on 📀 Sony DVD and Blu-Ray Player: Region Free, Zone ABC, 100-240V, 50/60Hz, includes 6' HDMI Cable and US-EU Adapter by Gabriel Rosenberg

We bought a Blu-ray/DVD player in the UK which is free for that region to watch DVDs. The first one I received didn't work right out of the box. It crashed on boot (only briefly shows the splash screen) and then restarted. This crash/reboot cycle repeated without interruption. Couldn't get it to boot far enough to even attempt to play a Blu-Ray or DVD. We returned the first unit and bought a second from the same manufacturer, hoping the first was a one-off error. The second device also failed immediately. It loaded to the home screen without any problems. Whether it was on the home screen or a disc was playing, the video and audio would pause for a few seconds every 3-5 seconds and then reappear. The discs could not be seen due to repeated power outages. I cannot recommend this product to anyone. The modification that a third party makes to these devices to make them region free essentially locks them.
