It took about an hour to install, but I wasn't in a hurry. Several videos have been posted, I advise you to watch at least one. I searched how to remove the car radio and found a lot of information so there were no surprises. My stereo already had a two-wire connection, which this replaced. I had to disassemble the connector and move two wires to the new connector before connecting it to the back of the stereo. A very small flat head jeweler's screwdriver is needed to loosen the pins that need to be removed from the old connector. The two wires were black and black and white. While I'm not sure, I believe these two wires provide power to the stereo when the key is not in the ignition, and that would be the only function lost if they weren't routed. to the new plug. I have attached a picture but I only drilled a 1/4" hole in the removable black panel above the ashtray to install an extra plug. This made wiring extremely easy, and if you didn't know it was there, you wouldn't know it was there. After installation I had an AUX option on my stereo that did not exist prior to installing this cable. Now I can use it to play music from my phone and use my GPS while keeping my factory stereo.Very happy with this product.
