Review on πŸ”Œ Stay Protected with the FIRST ALERT Plug-In Carbon Monoxide Detector 3-Pack: Battery Backup Included, CO605 by Aaron Vazquez

Small form factor, reasonable price and security

How do you test a carbon monoxide detector? I don't have a carbon monoxide supply, so I can't verify the basic operation of the unit. What I can say is that this alarm is good as far as I can tell. The small form factor means it's fairly discreet in your home; You'll notice it, but after a while it fades into the background. It doesn't protrude too much from the wall so you won't bump into it or trip over it. Using it is as easy as it gets, just plug it in. After doing the first test to make sure the alarm works (by pressing the button), you can forget about it. A constant red light indicates it is on and working. This product wears out over time and loses its detection abilities, so I think it will need to be replaced after five or seven years. I had to replace three in my house a year or two ago when they were reaching the end of their useful life. But even with that, the device was useful, as its power light started blinking to let me know if it was nearing the end of its lifespan. For peace of mind, cheap price and small design, this is a good carbon monoxide detector.
