I will be using this to measure how the insulation/radiation barrier affects the overall differences between rooms in my home. The temperature appears to be fairly accurate and stable - considering that shooting through a translucent material like glass or plastic might not give an accurate reading. Shooting it at a tabletop will give you more consistent readings than shooting it at an ice cube that the laser can penetrate. Some spots in my fridge were within one degree of the fridge setting, while others were further away, so air movement could also be a factor. For my use, it works adequately for measuring thermal/AC elements (air vents, insulation upgrades, etc.). I am happy with it so far and will update if durability or results are not as expected. It seems very durable and looks like it will be a useful tool for a long time.
