Review on Wald 582 Folding Rear Basket for Enhanced SEO by Phillip Hoover

Revainrating 5 out of 5

You work for us. for bike baskets

I bought two of these for a child who used to cycle to and from school. She was using an inexpensive Performance Bike rack. Every day she carried her backpack on one side and her trumpet case on the other. The baskets have held up pretty well considering how "rude" she is with her stuff. That was 6 or 7 years ago. Now she drives a car. Fast forward to the present - I use them on my do-it-all bike on a Planet Bike Kargo pannier rack. The original hardware that came with the baskets is long gone, so I replaced the 1/2" hose clamps. Three on each side. Two zip ties to attach the basket to my rack's top bar, and an extra zip tie to hold the rear basket to my rack's triangle.Use bits of an old bike inner tube as a pad to avoid scratching the rack (if you want).Works like a charm and no one will easily take them off (remember , when you install it) Instructions - Unscrew the hose clamp until the strap is completely out of the cam. Pull the strap just enough to release the rack and basket wire. (It helps to have an assistant on hand , which mutes or otherwise holds basket on rack during work.) Re-insert strap into cam and tighten until loose—tighten i not sure yet. Repeat with the remaining two clips. Yes, it will be a little tricky to insert the tape into the camera in certain positions, but it works. Go back and refine the pinch grip until you're happy with the fit. I left my smallest part loose as I didn't want to bend the basket wires. So far, so good. ::crossed fingers::
