Review on πŸŽ€ Discover the Elegance of Skinny Silk Scrunchies for Hair by Tara Sartoria - Artisan Handmade Perfection by Stephanie Anderson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

beautiful silk fabric; and a bag worth saving.

These scrunchies are pretty cute and I love the touch of the handwritten note on the label from the person who made these scrunchies. They pass tests for hair ties that twist into my hair once and stay there, but can still be worn on the wrist. They're a bit tight on the wrist but the elastic loosens over time so they're not bad. I sewed from silk - it's not easy (in my opinion) because it's shiny and flowing. And as I don't think the bag needs to be the star of the set, I was very surprised to see that it featured French (closed) stitching. Unlike some things that come in bags, they are worth keeping. I've made hair ties and there are certain things I look for in others. Did they cover the bottom seam area? To make rubber bands, the ends of the rubber band must be sewn together. There are several ways to make hair ties, but my favorite is the one that requires hand sewing and results in a hidden seam rather than an outside seam. It takes time and hand sewing. With these hair ties I can say the final job was done by machine as they are sewn on at the top and not a hidden seam. They picked up the thread and reduced that area, but I feel like this affects the overall look and flow of the elastic, so I want them to finish them off with hidden stitching. Probably not with these either. I think they are so good that hand finishing would be the finishing touch. However, it is still a very nice and beautiful set of small hair ties. The fabric looks much nicer and lighter in real life than in the photo. And I love that they are machine washable. All in all this is a really nice set.
