Yes I have. I named my robot vacuum cleaner. I've wanted one for years but couldn't justify the Roomba's insane cost and didn't want to deal with the hassle of setting up some of the cheaper models, which required installing edge detection strips near stairs or other objects. This item came up on my last search and the reviews seemed to be consistently good so I decided to give it a try as there was a good guideline if it didn't work properly. Right out of the box, the instructions were easy. Simply plug the docking station into an empty spot on a wall, charge up the villain and he'll be up and running in no time! The vacuum is surprisingly quiet compared to other robot vacuums my friends have and it's pretty smart! He outlines the area and then zigzags to make sure every square inch is covered. There's even a setting to run slower than usual in high-traffic areas or for a deeper cleaning. Many other vacuums in this price range seem to clean randomly rather than contouring an area with a systematic cleaning. This method is much more efficient (and less distracting since you don't have to watch the vacuum rub against the coffee table leg trying to figure out how to turn around and go the other way). The vacuum only got stuck in one spot where I had a higher memory bathroom rug, but it worked on all my other rugs and avoided my very high-pile rug by not getting too close to the edges or the edges like an unnamed other super expensive one Robot demolition vacuum cleaner has in the past. Oh I have long hair too and I hate cleaning the brushes in some of the other vacuums I've had. It has a rubber/silicone (yes, that's the technical term) rotating thing, so hairbrushes don't get stuck all the time. I have had no problems with this vacuum cleaner so far and have been using it daily for a week! It does the normal cleaning! I will update if anything changes.
