The old connector was difficult to pull out due to the melted plastic. I took 10 wires out of this new connector, pulled out the factory connector and plugged the wires into this new one. I then cut off the ground and connected it to the new connector with 2 wires. This allowed me to solve the grounding problem and also keep the original wiring. It was only necessary to cut and connect 1 wire from the truck to 2 wires on this connector. I used a butt connector with shrink tubing as soldering the ground wires is not a good idea. The heated and air-conditioned front seats now work as they should again.
