Great electrical suggestion

I was able to replace this part on my 2015 Ford F150 to make the seat warmer and cooler and it all worked great. Excellent price. I watched a youtube video on how to do it, no problem. I just had to make sure the 1st and 2nd wires were connected to ground so it wouldn't burn out again.

Works as it should!

YouTube has detailed installation instructions. The easiest way was to loosen the 4 screws holding the seat and install the module that way. With a good wire stripper, this job took less than an hour from start to finish. Removing the old module was a little tricky, but ended up with little effort.

  • Multiple competitors

  • Only available in black

My heated/air-conditioned expedition seats have been repaired!

My 2012 Ford Expedition has heated and cooled leather seats. One day they just stopped working. You can press a button and the light will turn on for a second or two and then turn off. Searching the problem online revealed that we would most likely have to take it to Ford's house and have the panel replaced ($1200+), but my husband is pretty smart and did some digging. Turns out you can remove the passenger seat (requires a $10 ratchet head) and it's pretty easy to replace that part. So, forโ€ฆ

2013 Limited Expedition

The old connector was difficult to pull out due to the melted plastic. I took 10 wires out of this new connector, pulled out the factory connector and plugged the wires into this new one. I then cut off the ground and connected it to the new connector with 2 wires. This allowed me to solve the grounding problem and also keep the original wiring. It was only necessary to cut and connect 1 wire from the truck to 2 wires on this connector. I used a butt connector with shrink tubing as solderingโ€ฆ

Problem solved in my 2009 Ford Expedition

Works well. No problems after installation. The package includes crimp and heat shrink connectors, but I chose to purchase the blue outdoor heat shrink crimp connectors. Just crimp one wire at a time and hit with a heat gun. Just a note, you need to make a three-way connection on the main ground wire, which is the original cause of seat heating/cooling issues. Use the large yellow crimp connector for this connection from the vehicle wiring harness to the new connector module to get into theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

Worked for Lincoln Mkz 2008.

This fixed the issue of heated seats not working. The connector under the car burned out due to the strong heating of the earth cable. This kit has 2 ground wires that can be connected to a wire in the car (see photo). I used 12 gauge butt connectors instead of what you received because I'm more familiar with them. Please note that this kit is not the same color as the one under the seat. So do one at a time and double check your work. A total of 12 wires must be connected. When I first did the
