My elderly dad lost his garage door remote in the car crash that caused him to stop driving. Fast forward several years, and I now need to park a car in his garage. Fortunately, I could tell that the garage door opener was a Genie brand. Unfortunately, I couldn't tell what era it was built in, so didn't know for sure what kind of remote to order.This device is specified to work with essentially any Genie opener built since 1993 (from what I was able to discern reading the manufacturer's description). I took a chance on this remote working, ordered it from Best Buy, received it, and followed the directions contained with the remote.One minute later, I had a functioning garage door remote.Recommended if you happen to be in a similar situation.
