I've never had to buy a new fiber catcher for my dryer, but it wears out. Our old lint filter started snagging on the end of clothes as it tumbled. When the drying cycle was complete and we opened the door, there was still a piece of clothing on it. The end was twisted so tight that it was difficult to untie. Not suitable for our clothes! The filter screen also began to tear. After researching we found this to be a common problem caused by a build up of lint at the bottom of the filter where the filter fits causing the filter to not seat properly. The lint was difficult to reach and remove, but after that the new lint filters fitted perfectly. We were very happy to find this replacement part and bought two packs after realizing how common this problem is.
