This product is pretty easy to install and you can find youtube videos showing how to do it. One caveat is that rings go bad pretty quickly from what I've read online. My water bill went up every month and it turned out to be caused by these rings (I have two toilets of this model). In the photo, the ring on the right is old and you can see it fading and bubbling in the water. These sacs swell like bubbles and then cause the valve to open and allow water to seep through. If you don't think that's a big deal, know that when I finally replaced it, my water bill was over 10,000 gallons a month and continuing to rise, probably costing me an extra $100 in May. I'm looking forward to my June bill which should be 40% lower according to my water readings (I only corrected this on June 11th so the horse didn't come out of the stable for most of June). What I read on the net is that these rings start working after two years. Mine was 4.5 years old. I would recommend checking and replacing these rings regularly. It only costs $5-7 and is cheaper than lots of water. In my case, I replaced the entire valve on one device because the old one had other problems. My other toilet was easily repaired with a new ring.
