For years I drove my car without having a place in my car where my phone should have been. It's been in the cup holder, in my lap, on the passenger seat, and other cheaper mounts. . . this is annoying for various reasons. As I am constantly traveling to unfamiliar cities for work, I often use GPS. The failure of all previous solutions means I spend too much time looking away from the road for directions. This thing is amazing. Its design allows you to place it anywhere in the car - at any distance, at any height, at any angle. The spring clip that holds your phone is easy to use and 100% secure (I have friends who use this design off-road and on motorcycle handlebars). The sucker still hasn't failed, even though we've been through all of the fall and winter temperature swings in Michigan. There are cheaper versions. I haven't used all of them and don't know how well they work, but this is the perfect solution and well worth it.
