Assembly was easy. When it came to installing the arms I did them both before attaching the bottom seat to the base. The back was a little tricky, just needed a bit of tinkering. It is very durable. The material is soft and shock-absorbing. The downside of the chair is the paint finish, which gives the armrests and frame a metallic look. You should have just watered them brown or black. Only time will tell how long bonded leather lasts. I only use leather conditioner and cleaner to keep it hydrated. The chair it replaces is made of polyurethane and lasted a good 10 years before it started peeling. If this chair lasts that long, it's worth it.
