I really wanted to fall in love with this bag. My son liked the look. But don't waste your money, it's not worth it. I rarely write product reviews but since this bag falls apart so easily I wanted to save someone else the trouble. We've only had this bag for a few months. After a few weeks it started to fall apart. First the zippers broke, then the side mesh water bottle pocket fell apart. Then the material started peeling away from the stitching all over the packaging. The strips kept coming off. This bag can be used as a travel bag with nothing heavier than clothes. Definitely will not serve as a real bookshelf for carrying books and schoolwork. I always buy Pottery Barn children's book bags. They serve for years. I should have known better and just stuck with those I knew were valuable. See attached pictures.
