Review on BOSTITCH SL1838BC Cap Stapler by Mike Goodwin

The first lasted almost 20,000 before the blade broke. I bought it about 4 years ago. Blade breakage is a common problem. I ordered a replacement blade and in the meantime bought a new gun. A new stapler came, but it doesn't work well. The button slider was slow. You have to wait for the cap. It has completely stopped. eReplacement Parts sent us the wrong stapler blade so we put the foil from the first stapler onto the newer stapler and now everything is fine. Note. Looking at a slider that worked sluggishly; I just oiled a small cylinder that has a tiny air hose attached and it changed the world. You can see in the picture that there are four small holes on the outside of the cylinder. You can hardly see it without taking it out of the holster. If you take the air hose and turn the cylinder by turning it in the holster, you will see a hole. Pour some oil into this small hole and machine the cylinder. This fixed it for me.
