This is my second Razer Deathadder (the first was the Deathadder 2013 and this is the Deathadder Elite) and overall both mice were great out of the box. Ergonomic, simple, it worked and did what a mouse does. No more and no less. In the end both had the same problem. If you click once with the left mouse button, this will be registered as a double click. This happens randomly due to the simplest change in pressure when you press, hold, and pull what you've selected. I looked at the comments on the same list and found this to be an ongoing problem. This is 100% hardware related due to a Razer released firmware "fix" for the Deathadder 2013 issue. This firmware "fix" solved the double click issue for the 2013 version of Deathadder but is not available for newer Razer mice . Speaking of support and doing some research on the Razer online forums, I found this to be due to a poorly designed mechanism in the new mice themselves that degrades over time. They have confirmed that this issue is hardware related when it occurs on Deathadder Elite/Chroma etc. Maybe I lost the "mouse lottery" when buying a product, but it happened twice? I do not know. I will not buy any other Razer products and based on repeated experience I cannot recommend this mouse.
