Review on πŸ”§ Versatile Clamping Tool: Positioning Aluminum Woodworking Carpenter for Enhanced Accuracy by Jarod Lacy

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not as good as Woodpeckers but half the price

They work great as intended. They're just a little uncomfortable, they fit and the workmanship isn't that good. For me, for the service I have rendered them, I am perfectly satisfied with them and would like to have more than better. If I were in production, I might feel differently; If I were doing dozens of installs a day, I would expect the convenience of the Woodpecker install to begin to justify itself. But I don't even make a dozen in a year, so I'm perfectly happy to fiddle around a bit to get the grip straight. If I were to spend more I would buy a second set first so I can use them on both the front and back of one end of a cabinet frame or all four corners of a drawer with the same adhesive. The L-bolts I received are quite square, I know another reviewer got some of them that were slightly off and misaligned the connection. I had no problems with that. The threads on the lug nuts aren't very precise, which makes them awkward at first, but it's a bit of a compromise for me considering how much I use them. camp and they are doing fine for me.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Poor guide
