Good square head screws are not 90.

I think I have enough squares to position now. Recently checked a few. I make quite a lot of cabinets though, and tools like this really come in handy. When I open the box I see that these are beautiful sets. The corners are well done with good finishes. Comes with everything you need to use them. It was well packed too. My famous angle was used and both positioners were exactly 90 degrees. I don't see any light anywhere. So I tip my hat to the production. The scale is good, I don't think I've…

Pros
  • Everything is great!
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Not as good as Woodpeckers but half the price

They work great as intended. They're just a little uncomfortable, they fit and the workmanship isn't that good. For me, for the service I have rendered them, I am perfectly satisfied with them and would like to have more than better. If I were in production, I might feel differently; If I were doing dozens of installs a day, I would expect the convenience of the Woodpecker install to begin to justify itself. But I don't even make a dozen in a year, so I'm perfectly happy to fiddle around a bit…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Poor guide

Works fine, exactly.

Woodpeckers Tools (woodpeck dot com) seems to be the originator of this type of square clamp and their version's webpage says "Patent Pending" in bold on the webpage. This version, on the other hand, comes from a company called (I'm not kidding; see for yourself) "AFake". Hm. Anyway, this rectangular clip is well made and works well. Another reviewer notes that the Woodpeckers version has better and stronger threads on the L bars. It seems to me that the regular threads on these "AFake" clips…

Cut a few corners for a hand tool

Revain has dozens of identical corner clips like this one and they are all exact copies of the Woodpeckers original. This one is slightly different in that the manufacturers have coated it with yellow anodizing instead of copying the red used by Woodpeckers. Otherwise it is identical to the other clones, both functionally and in terms of the choice of materials and construction. Accuracy is good, both clamps measuring true 90 degrees inside and out using my 6 inch square as a reference…

  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine

Excellent Clamps

The unique golden yellow color of these right angle clamps immediately catches my eye. The typical color seems to be red or blue to copy two other very popular brands. Since this is gold, the graduations must be done in black ink, not white, as they are very difficult to see. I have not found any quality control issues with this set. The set was packaged very well and when I opened the box everything was in place. The photo I took was taken right after opening the box and is very impressive…

Aluminum parts are fine, but there are better options.

A lot of woodwork depends on joining parts at right angles. If things don't match up even slightly, you'll almost certainly have trouble putting things back together later. I have used them for closet drawers and they work very well. You don't need these clips on every corner. One or two of these will do for the simplest "glues" to ensure everything is even. Clamping angles can be used both inside and outside. They're probably most useful for medium or large sized boxes, but you can also attach

Pros
  • Angle Clamps
Cons
  • Doubtful

Media failed to load. Aluminum clamping angles are amazingly versatile for woodworking. I have used and reviewed multiple brands, sizes and designs over the years. Like clamps, you never have enough on hand for complex assembly work. At the same time, the prices for brands are outrageously high. And based on my experience with both, I don't see much of a difference between the expensive brands and all the latest imports that tend to cost a lot cheaper. I mainly use them to keep things straight…
