The only issue we had was moisture/water. We were driving at highway speed in the rain and when we got to our destination and unpacked the trunk, there was some water in it. Several suitcases and boxes were also wet or wet. Nothing catastrophic and everything dried well, but next time we'll put everything in big plastic garbage bags. We also had a strap that went through the doors to wrap the roof all the way around, and those straps let water into the car. Cap, cap, cap. It didn't work without it. The backpack is IMHO made of quality materials. The straps held up great and there were plenty of them. There is virtually no noise from the wearer. We also bought a non slip mat which I would recommend as it really helped the holder stay in place. Overall I highly recommend this holder and have purchased 3 different ones to compare quality and installation methods but cannot give 5 stars due to rainwater getting into the carrier.
