I really wanted a red & black buffalo plaid flannel tree skirt. It didn't say what the material it's made of is in the description but I looked pretty closely at the photos & thought it looked like flannel. But it's definitely not flannel. The plaid part is thinner fleece but doesn't look too bad really. The bottom solid red is some sort of cheap felt though. They make a big deal about it having velcro closures instead of ties, but the velcro is attached weirdly & is cheap. It would be much nicer with ties & easier! It was too late for me to return & get another one in time, so I used it. When putting things away, I carefully washed it on gentle cycle in cold water. The solid red side pilled badly & became a lot thinner & a little see through in a few places. The top plaid fleece held up, but the bottom won't last. I'll likely take off the cheap velcro & add ties & get at least one more Christmas out of it. Like I said. it isn't horrible. just not worth the $30 to me & disappointed that it's not flannel or at least cotton.
