The unit was fine but the output cable was broken

The power supply works as expected but I have noticed that it shuts down as soon as I move my computer. I asked my friend what he thought of it and he told me to check the main cable that connects it to the wall. I switched this with the monitor cable and now when I move the monitor to raise or lower it it turns off. Basically what I'm saying is that the cable was loose and defective. It's not a big deal now as I rarely move the monitor, but it would still be nice to have a perfect cable with me.
