I have some terabyte drives that I don't want to destroy, but they contain sensitive data that needs to be erased before they can be shared. When the DataPort arrived I opened it up to get started. First, it works and works well. You have to remember that you will not clean a terabyte drive in 5 minutes. A DOD-approved disk cleanup takes 4-6 hours. I found that there are no instructions, but if you saved the defaults, which should work for most apps, you can just turn them on and go. Changing it takes a little trial and error. In an effort to make it easy, manufacturers have made it a little more difficult. Also, there could be more explanations about the different algorithms the module is capable of.
