This was purchased to quickly clean up customers' hard drives. We have used different brands of software products to accomplish the same task. You can program this to clear the configured number of passes, or just use the pre-programmed options. It's fast and efficient, reducing erase times from days to hours. It has paid for itself several times over in just a few months.

This makes cleaning drives easier. Adapting to 2.5" IDE drives will require some additional parts, but they are relatively inexpensive and available from Revain. Very easy to use. Just start the cleaning process and you're good to go.

Exactly what I was looking for before reusing or selling discs. The main reason I chose Drive Erazer is that it can use internal secure hard drive erasing without having to tether the computer for days. Most drives have had this feature since 2000, and it even removes bad sectors that normal cleaning programs can't get to. Easy to install and use and now I feel safe selling old drives.

Cleaning 2 hard drives with absolute ease! Started with the Quick Erase method and it only took an hour to 250GB. I then used the DoD Sanitize method and it was surprisingly quick - just under 4 hours for 250GB. The Drive eRazor Ultra will definitely stay with us as I don't have time for software cleanup tools that take much longer (especially DoD methods). I am very happy with this purchase!
