Review on 📚 Cabochon Beading: Effortless Techniques for Stunning Jewelry (Lark Jewelry Books) by Gelin Battle

I have been making handmade jewelry for almost 4 years. I started in the summer of 2008 at the suggestion of my eldest daughter to earn some much needed extra cash. I was so broke that I couldn't afford to take any courses or buy any books if I wanted to buy any jewelry making materials! I read everything I could find for free. I could get anything on the internet, in the library, in the bookstore, EVERYWHERE. I sold a few copies very quickly and was finally able to buy a few books and then subscribe to a few magazines. Over the years I have accumulated a collection of books on the subject of beads. But I wanted to expand my skills and start beadwork. I looked through many books and finally settled on Jamie's Cabochon Beading. I'm currently working on my second project and I have to say this is the BEST beading book I've seen in almost 4 years of beadwork! The instructions are VERY well done! They are concise, well articulated, well drawn, well photographed and VERY WELL organized! I only found one spot where I wanted a bit more diagraming done, but to be honest I'm not sure if it wasn't just because I was tired and didn't understand what I was reading! For real! I PROMISE YOU, EVEN IF YOU'VE NEVER MADE BEADS, YOU CAN DO IT! Her photographs are beautiful, sharp, detailed, close-ups and show a VERY WIDE range of what can be done! I am so impressed with her writing that I can't wait to check out the next book she publishes! I will definitely buy it! WALK! Buy with confidence! But most importantly, happy beading and NEVER forget to have fun beading! If you stop having fun, then you're being too hard on yourself!
