The dimensions given in the description are inaccurate. We carefully measured our dogs, but they still didn't fit; they run big! Also, one of my little boys pulled it out with just a little twist. Yes, the top closure is comfortable, but I think the ones with double velcro at the bottom are more secure. I did not return them as we rarely keep our dogs on a leash but they were needed asap for a holiday trip to my daughter's apartment (there is no exercise). However, just putting them on and realizing they are a bit big was very different than walking the dogs in them. In fact, I think the next smaller size would be too small!😩
