Sony Flash Digital Voice Recorder

Inexpensive but great for what I wanted ie taking quick notes of things and maybe recording some important conversations. The microphone is excellent, as is the voice quality during playback. The navigation seemed pretty easy to me, as did the menu. Some reviews mentioned that messages/notes were lost after removing the battery. I suspect they accidentally selected a different one of the five folders in storage, which is easy since a single press of the menu button takes you to the next folder. You have to look at the display to see which folder you are currently in. The display is easy to read and I'm not complaining about the battery life since I turn off the device when I'm not using it. The loading time is instant. I like the size and ease of use here. I think it's more useful than a cell phone for my purposes. As mentioned, there is no USB connection to sync to a computer. My attempts to transfer data via cable and through the Microsoft microphone have not been successful, mainly because the computer file playback volume is very low for some reason unknown to me. Again, it helps me remember my to-do lists, which is why I got it. Its size makes it easy to carry. Highly recommended.
