A few tips for those looking at these filters. First, they work great. Don't oversize the filter, choose one based on your water GPM. The sediment trap won't work if you use too much filter, in which case bigger isn't necessarily better. I have both the original down rotating filter and the new Sediment Trapper and they work great. We have a lot of fine sand in our well water and this filter catches it all and is easy to empty from the bottom with a quarter turn valve. You don't even have to remove the filter. I see that the information says to replace the filter every 6 months. I've been using two polyester filters for years and they still work great. I always keep a clean spare on hand to replace with the one that needs cleaning.
