Update to my original review (after only 2 months): Greenhouses are damp inside so one would think that this controller would be waterproof. I have visible moisture inside the LCD display and the unit has failed. At least it did not start a fire. I let it dry out for a few days to see if it would work again and it did not so I took it apart. There is zero attempt to make this unit moisture resistant. No seals, o rings, etc.I have been using a heater set on the ground for my greenhouse, but it is terrible at regulating the temp.So using this controller I have been able to run my 1500 W heater and keep a more steady temp. I like how I can put the probe midlevel in the greenhouse, since hot air rises.I set up the unit to allow 36F by day and 33F at night. I was surprised that the heater came on when I plugged it in this afternoon! This unit somehow wants to cool my greenhouse by day and heat by night. How can that work with a single plug, unless you have some sort of HVAC style unit? I could not find anyway to shut off day mode other than to shrink the window of time between day and night mode so I just cranked the day temp to the maximum of 122F. I just want the heater to keep the temp above freezing at night.I like the battery backup to save your settings in case of a power outage. We get power glitches all the time. The manual talks about how to replace the battery, but nowhere does it say what type or size the battery is.The display is really hard to see. If you are not directly in front of it and very close you can't read the numbers. Programming is a bit of a pain, but at least the battery remembers your settings. I f you are plugging this unit into an outlet it covers both plugs so you can't plug in anything else.
