Astrophotography is one of the toughest tests of any quality lens. This Samyang features low coma at stop down, flat field of view and low chromatic aberration. Wide open (F/1.2) this lens is very well corrected for green and blue, not so good for red, but this poor correction adds a very nice and warm hue to any everyday image. The bokeh is creamy and soft. The magnetic membrane is lightning fast and very quiet. Image of the Orion Nebula taken at ISO 100. F/2.8, 105 sec, 10 shots per stack. Excellent build quality.
