Dreamy 😍😍😍 great price

It's easy to miss focus, but if you take your time and correct it, it will become clear. That's great if you don't mind manual lenses.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Pretty much everything is fine

Good glass! for camera lenses

This lens can definitely create stunning f/1.2 backgrounds. Pretty difficult to use, but the results are worth it. All this at a low price compared to the "L" glass, does not work well on moving subjects due to the manual focus.

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • doubtful purchase for seniors

High quality product. Ideal for astrophotography.

Astrophotography is one of the toughest tests of any quality lens. This Samyang features low coma at stop down, flat field of view and low chromatic aberration. Wide open (F/1.2) this lens is very well corrected for green and blue, not so good for red, but this poor correction adds a very nice and warm hue to any everyday image. The bokeh is creamy and soft. The magnetic membrane is lightning fast and very quiet. Image of the Orion Nebula taken at ISO 100. F/2.8, 105 sec, 10 shots per stack…

Do you need strength training to carry this baby

When Carl Zeiss publicly claimed that an Asian company stole their design, stop what you're doing and buy whenever you can - unless money is an issue for you. :) This lens is extremely difficult to use unless you have a split focus screen, at f1.2 or f1.4 even an extra subject isn't that forgiving. But when you get it right, it's hugely rewarding - the quality, even wide open, is absolutely exceptional, not to mention the extra training you get from just wearing it with a full-frame camera body

Make no mistake - it's all by hand.

This is not the right lens for beginners. This is a great manual lens that is closer to Canon camera compatibility. I bought it for 6D. I expected it to be a little comfortable, but it wasn't. So I had to go back to upgrade to a premium Canon lens. Although it's a manual lens, besides getting great shots, I love that it warns you if you've adjusted focus manually. But not 100%. Also make sure that you can miss a lot of shots and have focus problems when using the 10 second auto plant mode. You…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • You could have chosen a newer model

Satisfied with the results of the lenses

Samyang 85mm f/1.2 is great! The sharpness of this lens can only be matched by the Canon 85mm f/1.2. I use it with the new Canon R5 (with adapter) and it works great as an RF lens. The manual focus assist built into the R5 helped a lot! The Samyang 85mm f/1.2 has built-in firmware that makes it a native Canon lens. When I plugged it in and looked for it on the camera, I was able to take advantage of all the features that Canon has to offer with their lenses. Initially I had some problems with…
