Bought this hose last March with a promise it would be the same as the original Dyson hose. Not true! The diameter of the tip barely matches the size of the metal extension tube, making it very difficult to separate and reassemble. Also, the lock button doesn't work properly. It is almost impossible to detach it from the extension tube when you pull out the tube to use it as a nozzle, but the handle end of the extension tube does not stay connected to the hose when you use it. To make matters worse, the end of the hose broke today after almost 10 months of use. As our original Dyson hose lasted around 8 years before failing, this hose is a steal, even half the price of a Dyson. I've been using official Dyson parts ever since.
