I used to order TB blankets; Years ago I ordered a bimini set. From the color fastness to the durability of the fabric and stitching, this latest set has stayed with me for a long time through constant wear and washing. So it's time to replace it as it's finally starting to wear out. With no bimini to find, I stumbled across this gray "Turtle Cove" tongue twister. So pleased with the last blanket I bought I didn't hesitate. However, when I received this new one, I am very disappointed. The piping seams on the capes and quilt are weak - after removing the normal accompanying paper label, the stitching on the edge of the quilt piping came loose. The fabric on the back of the pillows is very thin. Also, the colors on the overlays are paler than on the blanket itself (see photos with and without flash); personally the difference is much bigger. I'm disappointed because it's the closest bimini color scheme and style to me and I miss the excellent quality of the previous TB quilt set I had. I don't know if quality control skipped this set when reviewing it, if quality in general has become an issue, or if I received a fake.
