BLIND LIGHT during the day, 5 useful patterns (out of 7) allowed for pedestrians everywhere

PPE: Do not look at the COB light if you care about your eyesight. I knew beforehand that it uses a LiPoly battery. I don't expect it to last more than 300 reloads. I prefer rechargeable, user-replaceable batteries. (Even better if it is adapted to Nickel-Zinc 1.6V rechargeable batteries). I bought this "bike" light to attach to my backpack to replace the El Wire I ran through the molle. The zippers attach it to the shoulder straps without blocking much light. I especially like the red changing blue light. The momentary thought "ambulance ahead" can attract more attention than other lighting concepts. For a delightful extravagance I also bought a 5050 Bluetooth controlled programmable LED strip. El Wire doesn't seem to tolerate bends and kinks. + This works during "loading". When LiPoly fails, it doesn't become Junk+. It's unlikely to accidentally catch fire on a backpack in the car. The power button is a firm press, not a quick momentary switch + I'm tempted to immerse myself in water, but that only guarantees resistance to high humidity such as fog + Cable ties can be tucked under the mounting clip when tucked away for a long time, otherwise are they would be too wide + Great Value 8 - LiPoly battery (no stars, known limitations) - not too nice of design or mounting clip placement. Probably only suitable for attaching to a whistle - the speed of the flash cannot be regulated. Less useful to me is a solid white light state and a never used flashing red SOS state. Red-white-blue strobing is less harsh than red-blue. I don't use this on a bike or on a bag when cycling. Secure tickets! I deny the absurdity. I'm a big guy, but I'm not a gunship or a police sedan. (Somewhere around here the Highway Patrol is spending money on sports cars and then fooling citizens by making the sticker only visible perpendicular to the door. Yes, if people refuse to give in to vehicles that look more rustic than the police ones, maybe we can Common make sense as in Texas.) This ThorFire doesn't make you as visible as Texas law enforcement (to the horizon), but it does allow you to be visible during the day and most likely in the dark. -- Update -- compare with the unbranded version of Slow China, which is offered for 7 money. ThorFire is a better design in physical form and flashing pattern than the Glowes light. - Update 2 - If you're only interested in red and blue flashing patterns, don't need immediate delivery and can use an order of magnitude less bright, then this 3.38 coin flashing bike light might be more attractive (here): Glumes Sport Bike Tail Light (ASIN B07GJCK33P)

Pros
  • Easy to install. This rechargeable bike light installs in seconds with a convenient one-touch release button. Removing the entire bracket. Applicable to all types of bicycles, road bikes, mountain bikes, hybrids, and can also be used as a helmet light, backpack light, wheelchair light, scooter light and warning light.
Cons
  • The list will be long.
