I worry about kids or vandals cutting spark plug wires, hoses, straps, etc. because the Jeep Wrangler is the only car without a locking hood. I researched various options and settled on this product. Installation was quick and easy and operation was smooth. They're also less bulky than standard clasps, and unlike some competitors, use barrel-shaped keys. One reviewer said they fell off when she hit a bump: note they're adjustable. Mine were stuck even in the loosest position so I'm not sure how that could have happened. Another reviewer said they were impossible to install, but I found the opposite quick and easy with basic hand tools on my JL. Maybe JK (before 2018) is more difficult, I can't talk about it.
