We have an area outside where we feed wild birds and we also have some wild cats. As cats, they tend to crouch while waiting and then attack the birds when they come to feed. We put these mats around the feeding area (see photo), problem solved. They are by no means thick in build, so once unpacked, get them into the box by removing the outer plastic wrap and pulling apart. do it carefully they can break easily. But once they're down, they do what they have to do. We also installed a pair around a tower speaker I have in our den so our house cat doesn't use it as a scratching post. Due to its thin build, I'll give it a rating of around 4.5, rounded up to 5.0. Overall I'm satisfied, they serve their purpose. I hope this review has been of some help to you. Thank you for reading!
