Review on 🚴 Ultimate Convenience: Yakima Hangout 2 Bike Rack Ensures Secure and Effortless Transportation by Christopher Todd

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good first. It's very strong and sticky.

Good first. It is very strong and very easy and quick to install on the trunk of my 2012 Camry. Just got back from a 1400 mile trip with two bikes on this rack. I've never worried about stability. However, like other reviewers, I had trouble attaching two bikes. A road bike and a mountain bike. I really had to be patient to find the right configuration. I don't like the rubber straps that hold the bike in the carry bag. They are very difficult to attach and almost impossible with sweaty hands after a ride. I don't think my wife will be able to do this on her own which is bad as I bought it for her so she can easily transport her bike. The cradles slide too easily on the post. At high speeds, the bikes would move to the other end of the racks. This increases the load on the rack as the weight is further away from it. Properly placed bungee cords have helped but not completely alleviated this issue. If you buy this rack to transport your bike short distances, it will probably fit. But it has enough issues for long trips and two bikes that I'm considering looking for something else.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • keep calm
