Good for what I need

Bought for my 04 Civic only for short trips and to save gas (usually I took an SUV). It takes a while to put it on, but it's really secure. I buckled in and drove 75 mph on the freeway to 25 miles to the trails. Never decrypted. Only four stars because it's time to put it on. Takes a good 10-15 minutes. But what do you expect from a bike rack? I wasn't planning on pairing up the Civic so it suits me. For long trips I have an SUV with a Thule bike rack on the hitch.

Fits Acura RDX

It's hard to find a display stand that works with the Acura RDX. This supposedly works on many car models. I've used it twice with a ride of about 30 miles and had no problems. Trying to follow the instructions provided was a joke and impossible to follow. I watched a setup video on You Tube and it made sense and now it's quick and easy. Certainly cheaper than fitting a tow bar than buying a trunk. I also bought a "protection" harness and could have built a safer system for the same amount of…

Highly recommended. But do not forget to buy additional services.

Well I'm new to all this outdoor stuff so buying and installing a bike rack was one of my biggest fears. However, installing this little guy was very easy. I thought it would take forever but for the first install it was very easy. Fits my Jeep Renegade like a glove. Reason I didn't give a 5 star review: Cons: I didn't know, admittedly my fault for not reading enough reviews, that I would have to buy a separate tube hitch just for my bike. fit on the stand. This additional purchase delayed my…

Cheap, reliable. it works

I needed a cheap bike rack that I could attach to a commuter car so I could transport a bike or two from home to the trail. I wanted something cheap and reliable. I managed to get this thing for $90 and couldn't be happier. At the time of writing this article, I've used this thing about a dozen times. Installation took 15 minutes the first time. Lots of straps and it takes a few minutes to figure out if you're from something much older. Then for 5 minutes each time. The unit is built to…

Nice bike rack in trunks and trunks

I have very nice Yakima rails for my car roof and stands for my bikes that I use for long trips. The problem is that it's getting HARDER for me to level them up! So I like to do a few trips around the area - about 15 minutes from my house - and it's too much of a hassle to put them on and take them off all the time. So I decided to try one of these knowing I wasn't a huge fan of strap on clamshell racks in the past. Too shaky and unsafe, and I hate looking in the mirror at bikes flapping down…

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • A few little things

Good first. It's very strong and sticky.

Good first. It is very strong and very easy and quick to install on the trunk of my 2012 Camry. Just got back from a 1400 mile trip with two bikes on this rack. I've never worried about stability. However, like other reviewers, I had trouble attaching two bikes. A road bike and a mountain bike. I really had to be patient to find the right configuration. I don't like the rubber straps that hold the bike in the carry bag. They are very difficult to attach and almost impossible with sweaty hands…

Solution for 2012 Scion tC (Hatchback)

I recently bought a bike and wanted to take it to local trails that I have to ride to gain access. I went to REI to buy a bike rack for my car, a 2012 Scion tC which is a hatchback and also has a rear spoiler. I was told there was nothing in my car to mount a bike rack and that I could opt for a roof rack or something like a trailer mount on my car, but both options were very expensive. I got home, did a little research myself and found that this rack would fit my car because it was attached…
