I needed a cheap bike rack that I could attach to a commuter car so I could transport a bike or two from home to the trail. I wanted something cheap and reliable. I managed to get this thing for $90 and couldn't be happier. At the time of writing this article, I've used this thing about a dozen times. Installation took 15 minutes the first time. Lots of straps and it takes a few minutes to figure out if you're from something much older. Then for 5 minutes each time. The unit is built to withstand heavy use - nice thick tubes, won't scratch the car and has a really comfortable layout to accommodate your bike. Additional side straps hold the item to your vehicle. At one point I had to go around a corner at 50 mph with this thing strapped to the back of the car. Didn't move. In general I am very satisfied. It works. And for $90, why not?
