This is amazing. Most computers today are equipped with a solid state drive, or SSD for short. For those not very familiar with computers, there's a difference between an old-fashioned floppy drive, where a real hard drive spins and stores data, and a flash drive, which plugs into a USB port. The benefits of an SSD drive are startlingly obvious: First, when you update the second period, your time start is almost instantaneous. You know that annoying Windows logo that you have to stare at for a minute or so and then load all your icons and whatnot? All of that is gone with an SSD drive. Crucial is the newest hard drive manufacturer in the USA. They don't make their products in China or Taiwan, and all of their technical support is based in good ol' USA. So here's the thing: A lot of people think they need a new computer when it's just their hard drive that fails. I bought a 2 terabyte drive and it comes with a free copy of Acronis True Image, a program that will clone your old drive to a new one. I'm totally serious about saying that with nearly a terabyte of information on my hard drive, I was up and running in a couple of days. All you have to do is plug in a new drive and install the software, and it will all be done for you. Once the transfer is complete, you literally plug in the new drive where your old one was and it's like you have a brand new computer. I saved a few thousand dollars on a new device and I couldn't be happier. If you know all the above information about SSD drives. My apologies for the long review, this is a great product made by the best disc drive company in my opinion these days. You can't go wrong with the decision maker.
