? Are you a SD/TF MEMORY CARD USER?. ! READ IT !

I am using an SD card. I manage my collection of 2000 MP3s and then copy my collection onto an SD memory card and pop it into this speaker. The ArcWave portable bluetooth speaker is one of the few portable bluetooth speakers that supports memory card users like me. The good news is that the ArcWave portable Bluetooth speaker is a great-sounding, affordable little speaker that plays MP3s from SD cards. The bad news is that there are two weak points throughout the game. Firstly, after turning it off with an SD card inserted, the speaker cannot simply start playing. I always leave the SD card in, which I think most would do. So my typical speaker boot is to turn on the speaker, then press the SD card to release it, then press the SD card to reinsert (snap) it in place. This little extra step goes by fairly quickly and is only slightly annoying, but it's an unnecessary extra step. The main problem is that the SD card only plays in alphabetical order. I DON'T WANT TO HEAR MY COLLECTION IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER (my MP3 filenames start with the artist name, so I get bored of hearing my collection of songs by artist). I created a workaround. On my Windows computer, I downloaded and installed a file renaming program (CNET Trust Site, a free program called "Bulk Rename Utility"). It took me a while to figure it out, but the gist of the task is this: create two new temp folders, and then COPY (copy but don't move) my music collection to one of the temp folders. Then rename all music files in batch (by adding the files from temp folder to bulk rename utility, click on one, right click => select all, in program area choose "Name(2) " the drop-down, in the "copy" section /move to folder (13)", choose another temporary folder and uncheck "copy do not move", then do so with the " Rename" icon. This will quickly change all filenames to mirror MP3 filename "Artist - Song.mp3" has been changed to "gonS - tistrA.mp3" which actually creates a randomization of my collection of MP3 files Hope this helps It took me hours to figure it out BTW: I contacted ArcWave support on this thread, they confirmed that the speaker only plays in alphabetical order (no "shuffle mode").

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Useless functions
