I was a little concerned from Heinz that the dimensions might not be correct, but it fits my standard just fine -20-gallon (not long) size. I use this in conjunction with another product "(2 packs) Zilla Reptile Terrarium Covers Heavy Duty Screen Clips, Large 30Gallon or more, 2 Clips each" which ensures my snake stays in place (the perfect spot for what she said joke). but Heinz is too subtle for such comedy. My cat, heavy but undeniably fit, sits on top of him until I splash water on him. Heinz knows a child who is even heavier than my heavy but fit cat, who sometimes sits on it. got up once. I also spray with a water bottle to remove it. By the way the snake seems amazing but I will give it 5 stars. If it breaks I'll let you know. I bought mine for 13.43 and the next week the price dropped to 9.40.
