This type does not "snap" or "snap" into place as tightly as other oval styles. This style worked best for my recipient. Remember that the design is such that in the event of a failure, the ring in the receiver will break, freeing up the computer or device. I had another oval sticky style and it broke the receiver collars when they hit a bump in the road. The phone went there. Then I got this style and found that it doesn't put as much tension on the receiver ring when engaged. Since then everything is perfect. There are a few design differences between Garmin and Wahoo etc. I don't know what the difference is but maybe this information is useful. Also remember to clean the surface with alcohol and let dry before applying.
